Go to http://www.blogger.com/www.oregonbridemagazine.com or check newsstands at Fred Meyer or Barnes and Noble for the Fall/Winter 2009 issue. I wrote a story for Bride Ideas, Commitments, and collaborated on the Best of Bride 2009 story. Even if you're not getting married (anytime soon), it's kinda fun to look through.I've never written such chatty verbage in my life. But I suppose it's great practice to learn to write for all types of audiences. Really, I'm just excited to have my very first real-world byline. (Even though they spelled my last name wrong on one of the credits; I can forgive, because the other three times they got it right!) Let's hope this is just the first of many times I see it in print.
P.S. If you need any bridal advice or tips on vendors, I am pretty confident in my new-found knowledge!

I loved seeing your name (even though it was not spelled correctly) in print!!! Hooray for Martha!! I am still having fun looking through the mag and remembering the HOURS you spent making calls and all the extra minutes we got charged for! Keep writing and having fun! Love you!!
Hi Martha -
It's Chels. :) I randomly came across your blog via a little Facebook stalking (totally joking...). This post cracked me up because the people I live with have this magazine on their coffee table, as their daughter is planning her wedding. I've looked through it a couple times and couldn't believe I missed your name! Looked at it again and found it, though... congrats! :)
Hi Chels! OH that's so funny. Wow, they have the new one already? I haven't been able to find it on newsstands here in Clackamas yet. Guess they're ahead of the game in Eugene :-) Well, hope they have fun planning the wedding. And hope you're enjoying your new job and home! Take care :-)
